I was in sort of a drawing rut when I managed to bust this out. The first one is just the regular scanned pencil and the second one is the Photoshopped version. I like the second picture better because the lines are  bolder and it looks inked.

I used blue pencil for the initial sketch and then went over that with pencils. The second picture is after I Photoshopped it to get it darker. Lot of work to do, but I’m more or less happy with the result.

Stick figures are one of the best things I can draw. Above is a copy of a sketch I did for my final project in figure drawing. The real deal is below. I did it on six pages on super expensive paper (cost me an arm and a leg), but it was sooo worth it. Anyway, I’m really proud of this baby. The pages are more or less 25.5″ x 42.5″ and the medium is ink.

The story is taken from The Half Brother by Lars Saabye Christensen (excerpt here). It’s a lengthy passage that I managed to condense to six pages (would’ve been more if I had it my way, haha). I also had to tweak a few things, but I tried to keep my comic as true to the book as possible. And Fred is one of my favorite characters EVER… which is why he’s the most handsome of all the guys, bahahahaha!

Next step is to make 22 pages for a full-length comic! Giant comics are the next big thing guys, so get on the bandwagon.

Special thanks to the people who modeled for me.

This shit is old! Hahaha, I drew this like five years ago with no rough draft or anything… I just had two Sharpies, a ruler, and computer paper. I am proud of this baby.

I need a big scanner too, if anybody cares, haha.
