I’ve always liked Medusa. L to R: original pencils, closeup of pencils, inked. I may continue this theme with other Greek gods and characters. I had to take pictures of the sketch because as TOE TOE so eloquently put it, “Your scanner’s garbage.”

I was in sort of a drawing rut when I managed to bust this out. The first one is just the regular scanned pencil and the second one is the Photoshopped version. I like the second picture better because the lines areĀ  bolder and it looks inked.

I used blue pencil for the initial sketch and then went over that with pencils. The second picture is after I Photoshopped it to get it darker. Lot of work to do, but I’m more or less happy with the result.

Dueling magicians on rooftops in… Washington DC!!! Yeah, major cop-out by putting the Washington Monument in the background. Basically, it filled up empty space. I could think of a lot of gutter jokes right now with that thing, but I should really stop.

I had a drawing war with my sister and this is how it went down.

First, there was this monkey… and then there was this rabbit. They were nice to each other UNTIL the monkey decided to kick the rabbit. It went downhill from there.

After awhile, only so much could be done in the physical sense, so then we started to attack each other psychologically. Then my parents came home and they tried to draw rabbits and monkeys and our dog Paw Paw.

Then we all drew a duck and a dinosaur each to see the differences. You see the last dinosaur on the bottom of the page? That’s my mom’s drawing and her dinosaur wears a red hat.
